Munny Monday - Jack Skellington

Weekly Features

Jack Skellington Munny

Well since Halloween is in 2 days, I figured we can feature the best October themed custom Munny out there for the last Munny Monday edition this month. Not only does this fall in line just in time for the season, it’s one of the best customs I have seen! If you take notice the ears are gone, the eyes are sculpted out, and the neck is raised. Jack Skellington is a known favorite from Tim Burtons Classic The Nightmare Before Christmas.

A Word From The Artist

“This Munny has been haunting me since I started him over a year ago. I had always thought that the Munny shape would lend itself to Jack but I wanted to go a bit beyond some of the other customs I had seen. I started by cutting off the ears and cutting open the face of the Munny. I then went back and filled the openings with Magic Scuplt filling the ear and carving out the shape of the eye sockets and mouth. I then sanded and sanded and sanded some more to make sure the head was baby bottom smooth. For the body I sculpted the clothes, the tie, and extended the neck to give him as long a look as you can with a Munny. The painting was the most difficult part of the process for me as my hands shake and lines are my mortal enemy. Luckily as I was reproducing a line on fabric it didn’t need to be perfect. The head was done by putting down coat after coat of spray paint with much sanding in between layers. Add it all up and there you have my Jack Skellington Custom Munny!

For any custom collectors out there, yes, he will be selling this.
