Munny Monday - Omegatron the O-Bot

The moment I saw this custom I thought of some 70’s crazy sci-fi flick and sure enough that’s what artist Orhan was going for. This guy incorporates many different parts into the design and looks pretty sick in dark.
A Word From The Artist
My name is Orhan Mansuroglu. So many people mispronounce my name, so I just tell them to call me “O”. I’m from Brooklyn, NY and I’m 37. I’m a phone guy by day and an artist by night. I love comics, video games and cartoons.
This Munny represents my love for Sci-Fi. From movies like Star Wars, Aliens and Godzilla, to old school cartoons like Transformers, Voltron and Battle of the Planets. It took about a month to finish Omegatron. He was my second custom Munny and my first attempt using metallic spray paint.
I wanted to make a robot with eyes that lit up. So I went to Autozone and got these LED’s you put on your dashboard. Then bought a switch and a 9volt connector from Radioshack and went nuts trying to figure out how to light this bad boy up. His antennae are 2 pencils I got from the mystery accessories and his jetpack is the spraycan accessory and two AA batteries. The three square buttons on his belly don’t light up anything, but they make cute clicking sounds. I haven’t done any artwork in a few years and now these Munny’s have got my creative juices flowing. I even got my wife addicted!
Well, thanx for viewing my O-BOT. I got two more O-BOTS in the works. Stay tuned!
Be sure to check out some more pics after the jump, and if you’re slacking on Munny Mondays, get caught up.
