The Forbidden Kingdom

Pirates or Ninjas? Zelda’s single or split time line? Did Porco Rosso return to human form? Who are the Patriots? There’s tones of questions that will probably never find an answer (MGS4 might for the patriots one), but there’s one that will perhaps be checked off the list soon; Who would win a fight between Jackie Chan and Jet Li?. Personally, I’ve always leaned more on the side of Jackie Chan. He always seemed more legit in his style than Jet Li. But we’re getting headed of ourselves, let’s bring it back a little.
The Forbidden kingdom, is a new movie starting martial arts legends, Jackie Chan and Jet Li, is set to open in theaters on April 18th. I haven’t seen a good new kung fu movie in a while, the latest stuff always seems to incorporate gun fight or some kind of gadget and there’s always a hasbeen rapper in the cast. But The Forbidden Kingdom looks like a traditional martial arts film, which I think is the best way to make a movie with this epic combo of actors. Will it be great? It better be. This is a “how could things go wrong” situation, let’s just hope that kid without kung fu (seen in the trailer) doesn’t ruin the picture.
So, now we will be able to focus on more important things like, who ranks higher in the bad ass scale, Naked Snake or Solid Snake?

I plan on checking this out in theaters. Hopefully the snarky white kid doesn’t ruin it, but at lease there’s hot Asian chicks to balance out his suckiness.

I hope this movie is as good as it looks. And there better be a “white kid getting better” montage! Cheesy 80’s guitar and high fives all around.

I’ve seen Jet Li take a belt to a sword fight… and win

Needs less white people and more asian people. Everyone knows its just awkward when you see a white person start to do kung fu out of no where. But then again, everyone expects asian people to kung fu everytime we see them in other movies.
