Though my hype is not what it was for Doom in the last few years you still have to pay some respect to the shooter that sort of pushed the bar on our common shooters today. Not a whole lot of information right now besides that the production has official started and Id Software is assembling a team together.

Anyone think they’ll be sticking to their PC roots given the success of Doom 3 or go for the console jump? [via joystiq]

   I’ve pretty much all together given up on pc gaming, it was fun for a while but its just too dam pricey. I mean I could buy a 360 for what 400 and itll be good for atleast 5-6 years or even a p3 (10 years) And pc hardware gets dated so fast

   Yeah I don’t get to excited for some games anymore. It does seem like they’re getting better at scaling stuff, Source is a prime example. And than there’s dev’s like Crytek….
