The face work on this guy is by far my favorite part of this custom. I should really get practicing with some sculpey it expands what you can do on Munny’s far beyond the flat surface.

A Word From The Artist

My name is Kyle Beaudette, and I’m a 25 year old from Canada who is currently in teacher’s college in New York.

I set out to make this Munny completely smooth. That didn’t happen. I worked on it for about a week and a half, a few hours here and there. Super Scupley is very interesting stuff to work with. Sculpting with it on its own, I get nowhere. But on a Munny…

I sanded and re-sanded, and then painted too early. It’s still something to be proud of though, he’s got a great look.

Really it’s just a Tim Burton inspired creation. It’s my second attempt at a Munny, and this time I wanted to create something with the cartoonish look of Tim Burton’s various stop animation films.

The weekend project is back. So get your paper and scissors, because it’s time to get into DIY mode. This week papercrafts don’t require any glue and are relatively simple to make. Boxpunx glueless mini series one feature 24 characters for you to choose from. And for you ATLUS fans, there’s even the personafan series, featuring famous characters from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. Start printing and cutting, make as many as you can!

I’m pretty curios to see how much money this game pulls in come November. Think it’ll beat out Halo 3 sales?

Zakkamono is now taking pre-orders for the Tokidoki edition of Miao. It’s limited to only 500 pieces and you can pick one up here for $80. There’s also a blank DIY version for $40. The DIY version also comes with a blank Mousubi, the triangular rice ball with mouse ears and a tail. The figures drop in June so hurry up and pre-order one before they’re all sold out.

I’d totally be down for a blind-boxed artist series of Mousubi figz.

As if I don’t see enough advertisements in the strangest of places, now I can start looking to the sky. Francisco Guerro, who co-founded SnowMasters Inc, created a machine that sends foamy clouds up to 4ft wide in the shape of whatever logo you can imagine….or afford.

Disney is the first big name to make use of these so expect to see decapitated Mickey’s strewn about Orlando in due time. And for all you “earth friendly” nuts, fear not, “the foam is environmentally safe and pops like bubbles when it lands”. [via digg]

Burnout Paradise faired well on console with it’s fast paced racing and fun online play. Franchise fans that missed out on the recent console rendition can get a chance to tear it up on PC.

Being the first time a Burnout game has ever come to PC, developer Criterion are being rather hush hush on what’s in store. As with most Console > PC ports there’s usually upgrading to gameplay and multiplayer in one aspect or another. [via joystiq]

Well, what was arguably one of the biggest releases for the Xbox 360 last year, Bioshock, is coming to a theater near you in the future. Now, Universal had snapped up the rights for it awhile ago, to turn this awesome game into a mediocre movie. Today they finally have attached a director to this film, and surprisingly he doesn’t suck. Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Gore Verbinski is going to be helming the Bioshock big screen adaptation. Gore Verbinski is the man who made Pirates of the Carribean a marketing juggernaut, and also a trilogy of surprisingly fun movies. The only thing I can truly hope for is that he gives Bioshock the same treatment, and makes it worth our while. The last thing we need is another Super Mario Bros. or Double Dragon.

The emergency party button is something that no respectable bachelor pad or party house should be without. This magical button will turn your boring ol’ place into a party of epic proportions- provided you have enough awesome people attend and a decent amount of alcohol. Just turn the key, press the button, and watch the blinds close, lights turn off, and the lazer lights go up along with some bumpin’ tunes. Only $600 for all that gear isn’t too bad when you think about it.

Here will be another feature to look forward to. I’ll be talking about a manga series that I am reading or have read that needs to be checked out. For those of you who have never read a manga, this should be a treat. For the people that have this might enlighten you to read a series you never heard of, were curious about, or just want to see what the hype is all about. But what is manga? Manga’s are Japanese comics. The one main difference about them is the way you read them. The way we read comics is left to right. In Japan they read them right to left and the panels are read in a certain order as well. In Japan manga is usually released in a magazine such as Weekly Jump or V-Jump. If the series takes off, publishers will usually make a tankobon (paperback book) with a collection of chapters. Manga comes in many forms, so anyone can enjoy them.

Now my first recommendation is one of my favorite series. This series being Berserk. I would say Berserk is a fantasy, action, horror kind of manga. Berserk is set in the middle ages and follows the story of a mercenary called Guts. The manga begins from about the middle of the series as Guts is searching for someone. From that moment you are taken through Guts past to see what has lead him to this very moment. You meet characters along the way that help shape the story. Characters such as Griffith, leader of the Band of The Hawks. The Band of The Hawks is the elite, the very best mercenaries. Berserk is not for the weak either. This is a highly violent manga. You will get you fair share of blood in this. The art work as the story is very dark, as is the story. Some of my favorite artwork to date. The manga is still going on in Japan today. They are on chapter 295. There are tons of scanlations out on the web so you can catch up on the series. If you want to buy the manga, go out to your local book store or comic shop and pick it up. Dark Horse owns the rights to it and has been releasing the volumes for it. Also check out the anime series released. The anime goes off the first 2 story arcs and is 25 episodes. The anime and manga are different in some ways, but the story for the most part is unchanged. Hope you enjoyed this. Till next week !

Megahouse will be releasing a line of Excellent Model Street Fighter Capcomania x figures. The 2 figures to be released in late July are Ibuki from street fighter 3 and R. Mika from Street Fighter Alpha 3. Both figures are 1/8 scale. They look exactly like their video game counterparts. The paint jobs on these two figures are great. Megahouse has done a great job on them. Its great to see some other characters get the figure treatment. Street Fighter Fans and Figure collectors alike can enjoy this set. It may not be the same exact mammoth from the movie but still impressive. What a little hard work and elbow grease can help you accomplish. Here is another sweet figure to add to the pre-order list. This figure comes to us from Wafuudou. The figure is Kusugawa Sasara from To Heart 2.  She will be coming out in June. So get those duckets ready for this awesome figure. Kusugawa stands at about 19cm. She comes with removable clothing. I love the way this stands and the paint job is excellent. Who isnt a sucker for blue eyes? She will be retailing 6,980 yen, roughly $67. Expect to see this hitting the net very soon for preorders.

We’ve seen our fair share of NES re-designs and mods, but the reNes by Javier Segovia is in a league of its own. It’s only a concept, but the design is top-notch. Somebody should get around to manufacturing these things with Famicom and Super Famicom compatibility. Just a thought.

Not a whole lot of information right now besides that the production has official started and Id Software is assembling a team together.

Sometime this month MAD’s green SLIMEBALL Sqwert and brown variant will be hitting stores. With a run of 500 for green and 250 for brown don’t expect these to be available for too long. Seeing as they’re only $25 and resemble Slimer I pretty much have to get one!

STRANGEco is set to drop two new Tokidoki minifigs this June and I couldn’t be more hyped. Meet Skeltrino and Skeltrina. They’re the pets of everyone’s favorite grim reapers, Adios and Ciao. Both Skeltrino and Skeltrina have scythes for tails, but I’m really feeling the design on Skeltrina. Not only is she rocking the fresh gold all-over print, but she has a sweet barrette, tail decor, and a little anklet. Each of these little dudes will be sold separately for only $10.99 each. Shunya Yamashita is one of my favorite artist around. Shunya has done character design for games such as Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XII, and Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmera. He can also be credited for a couple of art books and manga. The PVC figures created by Shunya are scrumtralescent. I own quite a few of them and I couldn’t be happier with them. Most (not all) of his figures go two ways. You either have a school girl or a sci-fi fantasy type figure.

Now we get to the Bust. Shunya Yamashita has a collection of Fine Art Busts being released by Kotobukiya. Personally, I don’t collect — nor am I a huge fan of– the bust statues. For some reason though, the three you will be gazing at made me reconsider. All the bust are made from porcelain. Enjoy the pictures after the jump.

First we have Shii. The cute school girl in her skimpies holding a sword. Anyone familiar with figures will know Shii already has a PVC figure.

Next we have the blonde bombshell gunner Angela. She comes packed with a automatic rifle and red goggles on her head.
